WTF: Winnemucca

What DOES Winnemucca mean? And what do people do to make a living there? Pondering these questions from Reno to Elko on the way to Sun Valley.
One thing we know, it's NOT the place to shop for bridesmaids' dresses.

    OMGosh, I wish I has knwn you were going through Winnemucca. The absolutely most wonderful B&B is there...Old Pioneer Gardens...feather beds, beautiful English antiques in the rooms, old screen doors on the rooms, lots of outdoor furniture made from branches. All food for meals grown and bred on the property.

    It's actually about 12 miles from Winnemucca and there is nothing there but Old Pioneer Gardens. I was in heaven while there.
