BREAD,BOOTS AND BOXES
Breakfast followed by a drizzly walk. There's a picture to be painted -or something to be eaten - just about everywhere.
WHO CARES ABOUT COBBLESTONES?
Broken ankle be damned!! The ancient Roman roads are smoother than Petaluma's potholes, the bridges are for walking (not traffic jams) and the reward is always some new vista of converging angles, buildings holding up other buildings and SILENCE. I think the sound of water is actually louder here in Lagrasse because there is not the chatter and clatter of modern life.
Re: Two-two-two-two to Toulouse

Two-two-two-two to Toulouse
Flying, driving, traveling back at least a thousand years to the Middle Ages, hiking to the top of Chateau du Termes then snack atop the fortifications.
